Neddermeyer Tackles Preventing Sex Abuse
"A South Orange resident has developed a method for teaching
adults - and the children in their care - to recognize and prevent
sexual abuse. Dorothy M. Neddermeyer, who specializes in sexual
abuse, incest and physical abuse survivor recovery, has treated
hundreds of patient utilizing a variety of professional therapies
in her clinical practice.
"With more than 20 years experience in personal and professional development and as a parent who raised two children, Neddermeyer has give practical application to the evolution of systems for averting the kinds of traumas she confronts daily. Now, for the first time - and despite the impressive letters that follow her name - she is communicating this information, in layperson's language, in a new book published by American Book Publishing Group, 'If I'd Only Known...' As the title of the book implies and as Neddermeyer states, 'This book is centuries late already.'
"With her vision of 'reducing the number of incidents of sexual abuse by 50 percent in the next generation and reducing the number of children who are bused in the name of discipline to zero,' this publication promises not only to increase awareness but, even more importantly, to provide the means for protecting children from a scourge that has plagued society for too long. It is easy to read and comprehend and can be used as a manual by every adult who cares for a child."
